Description of The Solar System
It’s pretty hard to show a map of the Solar System, to scale. It would take several kilometres or 4000 computer screens to represent it adequately; and imagine how big it would have to be in braille! So, we’ve taken a scalable scale approach, making Earth smaller or bigger, depending on the planet we’re featuring on a page. You’ll see diagrams and notable characteristics of the Sun and the eight planets in our Solar System, plus information on dwarf planets. Pluto still has its own page, because we were born before 2006, but a diagram is not included. Enjoy!
